The majority of cosmetic procedures are not covered by medical insurance. As per regulation 471 from June of 2001, outlined by the Health and Insurance Ministry, insurance does not pay for the procedures below.

Cosmetic procedures include:

1. Face and brow lift
2. Eyelid surgery to remove folds or bags
3. Procedures on face, nose and ears to fix minimal abnormalities, excluding scars
4. Breast augmentation
5. Breast lift
6. Hair transplant or hair restoration surgery due to hair loss
7. Liposuction, unless to empty a fat tumor or correct a scar
8. Injectable fillers
9. Tightening of stomach skin to improve appearance
10. Laser hair removal
11. Laser and diathermic procedures to minimise rosacea/ruddiness

The following rates apply as of December 1st, 2006. The ranges are given due to variations of scope and whether or not the patient requires general anaesthesia.
